True Answer of Peace, Purification & Freedom

01

True answer is only within the practice of meditation. Meditation is not only sitting on cushion without moving, closing eyes but the practice of morality, concentration and purifying the mind (right understanding).

In the practice of morality, it is necessary not to do harmful deeds to yourself and your environment. Not to do harmful deeds, it is necessary to do good deeds such as donation, taking precepts and the practice of mental development (Bhavana).

In the practice of concentration, it is necessary to develop the continuous mindfulness of whatever happening in our mind and body at the present moment with right effort just to be mindful of the present momentary arising & vanishing of five aggregates such as  feeling/sensation, emotion/volition, perception/memories and consciousness/thinking etc.

In the practice of purifying the mind(right understanding). it is necessary to develop right thinking or reminding or reflecting the truth.

Right understanding is based on right thinking or right reflection which should be concerned with the Truth which is the truth of the created truths, to-use-only, to-do-only, to-know-only, and to-experience-only. It means to change from attachment to detachment, and wrong understanding to right understanding.

In order to be using-only, doing-only, knowing-only, and experiencing-only without mental rejecting and attaching, it is necessary to understand and think correctly about the original truth, the present momentary impermanent nature (dukkha) appearing and disappearing constantly on account of misunderstanding the created truth (self) as reality and attachment to it.

The present momentary impermanent nature (dukkha) will appear and disappear constantly by the power of action with misunderstanding and attachment. That process of appearing and disappearing is known as the Law of dependent origination.

That constant process will continue until enlightenment by the practice of meditation.

The true answer is non-self, neither something, nor individual but the process of the present momentary impermanent nature appearing & disappearing is happening constantly until enlightenment by the practice of meditation, the practice of morality, concentration(mindfulness) and right understanding.

Meditation is seeing from the view of truth.

 -STAND ON THE TRUTH.

-SEE FROM THE VIEW OF THE TRUTH.
– THE TRUTH is ever-new impermanent nature, (constant renewing & vanishing nature).
– THE TRUTH is not something such as breathing or feeling or sensation or thinking or emotion or body or individual or self, but it (something or someone) appears to be true on account of misunderstanding or ignorance of The TRUTH.
– THE TRUTH is beyond the impermanence of something which is just created truth.

Impermanence of Something & EVER-NEW IMPERMANENT NATURE
—————————————-————————-

Meditation is understanding and contemplating Ever-New Impermanent Nature correctly.

It is easy to understand and see the impermanence of Something or Someone which is created truth (relative truth) without insight meditation.

But, according to original truth in Buddha’s discovery in enlightenment, impermanent nature which is unsatisfactory and non-self is EVER-NEW IMPERMANENT NATURE.

It is beyond the impermanence of Someone or something which are created truths such as hotness/coldness, pain/pleasure, liking/disliking, hardness/softness, stillness/movement, attraction/repulsion etc, that appear to be real on account of non-enlightenment or not understanding EVER-NEW IMPERMANENT NATURE correctly.

It is necessary to understand that Impermanent nature means ever-new impermanent nature which is happening in every moment (renewing and disappearing nature in billion/trillion times per blink of an eye).

The ARISING AND CESSATION OF DUKKHA
(Constant Renewing & Vanishing of Five Aggregates)
—————————————-—————————————-
hlegu township mercy village 2 thabarwa meditation center yangon myanmar (31)
Meditation is reflection of the arising & cessation of Dukkha and causes of it correctly.
Dukkha (Constant Renewing & Vanishing of Five Aggregates) arises because of ‘thirst’ (tanha) via misunderstanding the CREATED TRUTHS (Relative truths) as reality, and it ceases because of wisdom (right understanding).

‘Thirst’ and wisdom are both within the Five Aggregates renewing & vanishing constantly, Thus, the germ of their arising as well as that of their cessation are both within the flux of the Five Aggregates.

This means that the Truth can be found within the flux of the Five Aggregates (Dukkha), This also means that there is no external power that produces the arising and the cessation of dukkha (Ever-Renewing & Vanishing of Five Aggregates).

The arising of Dukkha is on account of ‘Thirst’ via misunderstanding the CREATED TRUTHS (Relative truths) as reality,
The cession of Dukkha is on account of ‘Detachment’ via ‘ wisdom’ that realizes the misunderstanding the created truths(relative truths) as reality.

Meditation Notes (2)

Meditation Note via Sayadaw U Ottamasara teaching
………………………………

01

– Meditation is the practice of mindfulness with right understanding
-Mindfulness should be not only ON something such as breathing or feeling or thought or pain etc, but also ON the knowing of meditation object and the action to be mindful.

-The knowing the meditation object appears on account of the action to be mindful.

– There are two groups in mental nature.
1) wrong understanding , attachment and action of them.
2) right understanding , detachment and action of them.

If you use the first group, you will pay attention to how to do, what to do, how long to do, where to do, this way and that way.

If you use the latter group,
you will pay attention to doing-only, experiencing-only and knowing-only (minding-only) which is middle way.

-Meditation is The Way Of Liberation.

-Meditation should be known as the practice of mindfulness with detachment which can be conditioned by right understanding.

-Right understanding is understanding that created truth such as body, mind, life, actions, this way or that way is to be used-only, done-only,known-only and experienced-only.

Without meditation, we are using the created truths or life in the wrong way. It is using with attachment. It will surely lead to vicious cycle of problems and stress.

Through meditation, we use the created truths or life in the right way. It is using-only without attachment.
It will lead to the liberation from the vicious cycle of all problems and stress.
